Ten Gods in practice

Ten Gods in Relationships

The Ten Gods describe structural relationships between stems. Applied to human relationships, they can generate questions about equality, communication, practical commitments, responsibility and care. They cannot tell whether two people are fated to be together or guarantee how a partner will behave.

Direct answer

For relationships, use Ten Gods to notice recurring themes in one chart and to organize conversations. If comparing two charts, keep the structural facts separate from consent, behavior, communication and safety, which are always more important than a symbolic label.

Five relationship groups

What each group can help you examine

Companion

Equality and separate identities

01

Companion relationships can surface themes of reciprocity, autonomy and peer expectation. A useful reflection asks whether two people can hold different needs without turning difference into a status contest or emotional debt.

  • · Where does equality require a clearer boundary or decision process?
  • · Can independence and closeness coexist in this relationship?

Expression

Voice, play and repair

02

Expression relationships concern what is communicated and created between people. In relationships, this can highlight honesty, humor, criticism and repair. Communication is healthy when care and accountability remain connected to what is said.

  • · What needs to be said directly rather than implied?
  • · Does the way you express a concern leave room for a response?

Wealth

Practical commitment and shared life

03

Wealth relationships can bring attention to time, money, domestic labor and concrete plans. These are not proof of romantic compatibility, but they are real areas where expectations can support or undermine a relationship.

  • · Which practical commitment needs an explicit conversation?
  • · Is care being shown through action, assumption or silence?

Influence

Responsibility and respectful authority

04

Influence relationships concern expectations, accountability and the use of authority. A reading should never normalize control, coercion or fear. Healthy responsibility is reciprocal, transparent and open to consent and correction.

  • · Is responsibility shared, or is one person setting all the rules?
  • · What would accountability look like without control or punishment?

Resource

Care, learning and support

05

Resource relationships can highlight care, guidance and emotional or practical support. Support becomes relational when it preserves agency and is requested rather than imposed. It should not require one person to become the permanent teacher or rescuer.

  • · What support is being offered, and what support was actually requested?
  • · Where would learning together be healthier than one-sided guidance?

A grounded method

Move from structure to evidence

  1. 01

    Read one chart first

Start with one person’s chart and notice the repeated relational themes. Do not jump immediately to whether another chart “matches” it.

  2. 02

    Convert symbols into conversation

Use each theme to form a concrete question about expectations, boundaries or repair. Avoid presenting an interpretation as a fact about the partner.

  3. 03

    Keep safety primary

If there is coercion, violence, stalking or fear, use appropriate real-world support. A symbolic compatibility reading is never a reason to remain unsafe.

Boundaries

What this reading does not claim

01 No Ten God pairing guarantees attraction, commitment, marriage or separation.

02 A chart cannot establish consent, honesty or how another person will behave.

03 BaziRoute does not produce a compatibility score or verdict.

Reflection

Which relational theme needs an honest conversation, and what evidence from everyday behavior matters more than the label?
