BaZi Luck Pillars

Luck pillars, often translated as Da Yun, divide later life into roughly ten-year periods represented by stem-and-branch pairs.

01

The natal chart is the foundation

A luck pillar does not replace the birth chart. It adds a changing layer that is interpreted against the natal structure.

Starting age and direction depend on rule choices, including the solar-term distance and traditional gender rules.

Use timing as preparation

A useful timing reading asks where attention, pressure or opportunity may become more noticeable. It should not be treated as a guaranteed event calendar.

Annual and monthly layers are even more contextual and should be presented with clear method notes.
